Cookies

Cookies are small information files that are stored on the device you use to visit our website, such as a computer, tablet or smartphone, when you visit. Where we refer to "cookies" below, we also mean other similar techniques. Cookies make it possible to recognise your web browser. That way, we can make our website work better, we can gain insight into visitor behaviour on the website and other parties can gain insight into your surfing behaviour, so that they can show personalised ads across multiple websites and omit non-reviewable ads.

When you visit our website for the first time, a notice will be displayed explaining why we use cookies. We take further use of our website as consent to this use of cookies. You are of course free to disable cookies via your browser. Please note, however, that our website may then no longer work optimally.

Hartman uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies:

Functional cookies

These cookies are necessary for our website to function properly. For example, they ensure that you are shown the desired information quickly and correctly each time you visit our website. You do not need to request permission to set functional cookies.

Analytical cookies

We use these cookies to analyse our website. For instance, we would like to know how often our website is visited and which pages are clicked on. These analytical cookies have no major impact on privacy, so no permission needs to be requested.

Tracking cookies

These cookies can track your browsing behaviour on our website. This enables advertisers to show personalised online ads based on your surfing behaviour. We ask your permission to place these cookies. During your first visit to our website, we have already informed you about these cookies and asked your permission to place them.

For how long do we retain personal data?

Hartman retains your personal data for no longer than is necessary to achieve the purposes for which your details are collected. Statutory retention periods may apply to the different categories of personal data.

Information about sharing personal data with third parties

Hartman will not sell your data to third parties and will only disclose it if necessary for the performance of our agreement with you or to comply with a statutory obligation. Whenever we instruct third-party companies to process your personal data on our behalf, we will enter into a processing agreement to guarantee the same level of protection and confidentiality of your details. Hartman will continue to bear ultimate responsibility for such processing operations.

Access to, and amendment and deletion of, data

You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data. Requests to access, correct or delete your data can be sent to info@hartmanuk.com. To ensure such a request for access has indeed been submitted by you, we may ask for a copy of your proof of ID. Hartman will respond to your request as quickly as possible, within four weeks.

Hartman would also like to point out that you have the option to submit a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). You can do so using the following link: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/data-protection-complaints
